Providing emergency medical supplies for children in Ahmedabad following the earthquake of January 2001.
- Building and Equipping a 4 bedded Paediatric High Dependency Unit at V S Hospital, Ahmedabad. Completed December 2005.

Emergency paediatric medical and child psychiatry for Central Kosovo and for refugees in Macedonia.
- Establishment of three Mother & Baby Units in the Gynaecology and Paediatric Clinics at the University Medical Centre, Prishtina.- Supporting 'Children in Care' (abandoned babies) by the provision of food, hygiene items, clothing and establishing a programme of Play and Stimulation.

Since 1998, a link between Managua Children's Hospital and North Tyneside Hospital.

Pakistan

Establishment of CAI with the cooperation of local medical personnel.

Provide lead medical and nursing personnel to assist with the work of providing medical facilities for Afghanistan refugees within established camps.
- Providing mobile clinics and hospitals for Afghan refugee children and delivering mothers.

Sri Lanka

Responding to the Tsunami by sending emergency equipment and supplies.
A CAI Doctor and Logistician went to Sri Lanka in April 2005 to provide some emergency treatment training, and to assess needs. -
Since then Doctors from the UK and from Australia have been provided by CAI to work in Batticaloa and in Killinochchi.

A nurse teacher has spent 2 months in Batticaloa and has written a program for postgraduate Paediatric nurse training which CAI is looking to fund.

CAI had joined with the Sri Lanka College of Paediatrics to support the Rainbow scheme for Tsunami orphans.
- CAI has worked with the Centre for Health Care, a Sri Lankan based NGO, to provide staff and facilities in the disadvantaged North and East of the Country.

Publication of a manual of International Child Healthcare to help local doctors and nurses provide the highest possible standard of care with limited resources in their local hospitals in disadvantaged countries by the British Medical Journal Publications Department and endorsed by the Royal College of Paediatrics of Paediatrics and Child Health.

Publication of interactive APLS CD-ROM for distribution to medical/nursing personnel in disadvantaged countries.

Development of obstetric CD-ROM for training purposes.
New projects are being developed regularly. Work is currently being planned in Iraq, Burma and Djibouti.
